To the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory, majesty, might, and authority before all time and now and unto all eternity. Amen.

When I first began reading the Bible on my own, I frequently skimmed over the first few and the last few verses of each book. I figured that was just the greeting and the closing of the letter and there was nothing terribly special there. I was wrong.

Even here in the tiny book of Jude, this final verse is filled with such power. Can you imagine ending a letter to a friend in this way? I challenge you to find an opportunity to write this verse of encouragement to a brother or sister in Christ. I’m going to!

Father God, Jesus our Savior, Spirit of Life, may I always take every opportunity to sing, shout, and write to Your glory. Amen.
