25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
In my Catechism Class (many years ago) we learned that “God created us, Jesus saves us, and the Holy Spirit keeps us in the faith” I’ve been reminded many times of how the Holy Spirit has been with me in my life. A couple of examples.
I had left my job in St. Louis to relocate to Washington State. In the middle of Iowa, my car broke down on a Friday night, no town/services in 15 miles. A state trooper pulled up 5 minutes later; and brought me to a repair place with a tow truck. This wasn’t his patrol area; he was on special duty for the governor that day.
I had taken Nancy for a Dr. appointment. I dropped her off at the Dr’s building and got her into the vestibule. She dropped to the floor with no warning. Less than five seconds later, a nurse came in that saw what happened. We got her over to the ED in the adjacent hospital. They discovered she needed a pacemaker. Her heart had stopped for 6-8 seconds.
I am reminded of God’s love many times in my life. The Highway patrolman stopping when I needed help. The Nurse coming to our aid. Yes, Jesus left us with the Holy Spirit that is shown through the love and concern of others.

Prayer concern: That we may know that we are “kept in the faith” by Jesus’ love.
