Great peace have they who love Your law and nothing shall offend them.

 

Seems a little counter-intuitive, right? This world is full of law breakers. How can we not be offended by law breakers if we love God’s law. I think the answer is that the foundation of God’s law is love.

 

The word “offend” is sometimes translated as “stumble.” That helps give me a fuller picture of what it means not to be offended. I can’t let it trip me up. I can’t let it get between me and God or in the way of the ministry He has called me to fulfill.

 

Lord, please help me to be so focused on You that I understand fully Your life and Your love so that I am filled with Your peace. I pray, then, that I am able to share that peace with others and that nothing will get in the way of what You have called me to. Amen.
