10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
I can’t imagine the joy that the Angels felt when announcing the birth of our savior Jesus. The heavenly host watches us struggle daily and to see this miracle and contemplated the future because of God’s grace must have been amazing for them. So, as I reflect and contemplate this today a smile comes to my face, peace permeates my soul, and I bow to our creator to acknowledge his love and understanding of us.
As stated in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So let us celebrate today the gift that saves us and moves us closer to an eternity with our God and savior.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, wonderful savior thank you for creating us and loving us and sending your Son so that we may exist with you forever more. Amen.
