The reading for today is Deuteronomy 29:9
“Therefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
How do you interpret prosperity? Some people think in terms of career advancement or financial success. There’s a lot of talk these days about being “happy.” I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want those things, but I think at this point in my life it’s more important to me to have healthy relationships, wisdom and discernment.
That is, I believe, the type of prosperity promised in this passage. As we live within the covenant made by God, we will become healthier in our relationships, wiser and more discerning.
Lord, I want to walk in Your way and be prospered by You in all that You have planned for me. Amen.
