The reading for today is Isaiah 57 verse 15 (KJV).
"For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."
Consider the is word "Contrite". Repentance and guilt. Shame and remorse. We are to be humble, just as Jesus was. We walk as Christians witnesses for everything Jesus has done in our lives. God is forever (eternity). Jesus is with him and also forever. The second sentence tells us this truth.
We are rejuvenated by Jesus. We are led by the Holy Spirit. Yet, we are to be humble. Pride is something that we should never be, for God's intent is for us to be submissive to him. God has all the power. Repentance of sin and guilt are what salvation is all about. Freedom and victory in Jesus. After all, it's all about GRACE!
