Today's scripture is from Matthew 18:1-5

“At that time, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”

My favorite greeting to customers at Lowe's was "Hello Kids". Sometimes I would remind them we are all children of God. Many times, it would bring blessings and happy conversations before I could help them find what they came there for.

Try it some time. I think you will find most people cordial to be children of God.

What does it mean to humble yourself in this passage?

When was the last time you humbled yourself?

Was it with somebody like your best friend?

How did you present yourself to God?

Was it like a child ... try it, you may like it.

Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for sending your Son to bring lessons for living with each other. Help us to act like children of God with others and bring the joy and peace you want for us.
