The scripture reading for today is Job 42 verse 5 (KJV).
"I have heard of thee by hearing of the ear: but now my eye seeth thee."
The story of Job is one of the most wonderful. He had everything needed in life. He was set. Yet, everything was taken away. Even to the point of physical anguish. He was mocked by others. He as a living "Murphy's Law".
But, through all his trials and tribulations, Job never condemned God. Job knew better. Job had faith. Job believed. Yes, he questioned why these things happened to him. But he never said it was God's fault.
Now we come to this verse. Job has been suing his ears to listen to God. He listened by his ears and with his heart. God allowed Job's eyes to be opened to really see the majesty of God.
How do we hear and see God? Have we ever blamed God for our faults, sins, or depths of life? Like Job, we may question God. But we should not blame him. God created everything. Keep that in mind. God has plans for each of us. God formed us.
Pray for the blessing of God as seen even in our moments of despair
