The scripture for today is Exodus 3:14.
God said to Moses, "I Am WHO I AM." He said further, "Thus you shall say to the Israelites, "I AM has sent me to you."
In this passage, Moses is telling the people who have long been in bondage in Egypt the he is being sent by the God of Israel, Yahweh. Moses is afraid that the people will not believe or follow him. Assurance is given by God that if he uses the term I AM to the people, they will understand and do as he says. The addition verse continues to describe I AM as the God of ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob further stating that God's name is forever, and the title for all of the generations.
The reassurance that this is the real God known to the people, and not one of many false gods that were worshipped during this time period. Our God is past, present, and future, forever and for everyone. We have the assurance that God is the one true God, I AM.
Let us pray: Dear God, Continue your assurance to us that you will continue to care and lead us in your path as we journey on in life. Keep us ever mindful of your love.

Prayer Concern: Pray for those who have no faith, struggle with their faith, and do not feel the assurance as an ever present, ever loving God.
