November 22, 2020 Daily Devotion

The scripture for today is Matthew 25:31-46, NIV.

" When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as He a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and goats on His left.

Then the King will say to those on His right, " Come you who are blessed by my Father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world."

Then Jesus speaks of feeding him when he was hungry and giving him drink, when thirsty.

The crowd wants to know when.

Have you ever met an angel?? I have several times. You might not recognize them as such, but they are there if you take the time to look. When I lived in California, I used to see one man and his dog. He was homeless and I would see him around town. I would buy both he and the dog food. Some of the places wouldn't let him on the property, so I would have to buy the food and give it to him down the street. We would talk and I felt VERY comfortable with he and his dog. Then one day they were both just gone. I never saw them again. I know he was an angel by the way he made me feel.

When Donna sent me this devotion, she told me it was Christ The King Day. Now I feel that it is very appropriate to celebrate in the Church calendar, but I believe Christ is King every day. I am not being funny, and I do recognize the Church celebration, but Christ is on His Throne every day. I am gratefully awaiting His return. I hope He calls me a sheep and NOT a goat.

Lord, thank you being our King. When you return let us all be found as sheep and not goats. Amen
