The scripture for today is Psalm 141 verse 8, KJV.
"But mine eyes are unto thee; O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul to destitute."
Have you ever been so focused on something or someone, you lose yourself in everything else around you? Here the Psalmist is focused on God. He has put his whole essence in the Lord's hand and like a child, he trusts him for everything.
Faith is that way. We trust God for everything. Even when things may not seem the way we expect them. God is there. God leads us. We trust him. We too have our eyes upon him. I know of many times God was there before me. He knew my path. I trusted him.
The Psalmist asks the Lord not to leave their soul "destitute". They are asking for the Lord to give them abundance. Their soul will never be lacking since it is filled with faith. It goes back to trust. God fills everything. God blesses us. Grace occurs. Trust in the Lord for everything. Simple but hard at the same time.
Dear Lord, thank you so much for your love and grace. I certainly don’t deserve all of the attention you give me, but You continue to bless me.
