The reading for today is Psalm 105: 1-6. KJV.
"O GIVE thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye all of his wonderous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek ye the Lord, and his strength; seek his face ever-more. Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgement of his mouth. O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen."
The is a great start to a wonderful psalm. No author is given for this psalm. But, this writer is definitely inspired. The writer gives us many truths about God. He also gives us a guideline as to what we are supposed to do each day.
Starting with the first verse we are to make know of God's work. Whether it is in our lives or the world as a whole. We are to give praise unto God for all he has done. Simple, right? There are times when it is very simple. But other times when we become quiet and lack a response.
Yet, here in this psalm. we are told to "Seek the Lord, and his strength". If we rely upon ourselves, we will fail. But calling upon the name of the Lord and having faith that His words will come forth through us, people will see God's works through us. Remember what God has done for you in your life. In all things, rejoice in the Lord.
Pray for the words God will give us to speak. Pray for solid witnesses of Jesus.
