The scripture reading today is Exodus 4:27-31 (NIV)
27 The LORD said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he met Moses at the mountain of God and kissed him. 28 Then Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had sent him to say, and also about all the signs he had commanded him to perform.
29 Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites, 30 and Aaron told them everything the LORD had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people, 31 and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.
The scripture always has a way of addressing those things that are critical to our well being. In this case to my thinking it is the statement that the Lord was concerned about the Israelites and had seen their misery. How comforting it is when we have a problem, especially a serious one, when someone recognizes our misery and offers support.
This is an example of why it is important to read and understand the Bible, the Word of God, and what His Word is telling us. The Lord does know what our life is and does understand what our capabilities and limitations are. If we as believers truly worship Him and His understanding of our misery then we can expect what the Bible says, that our belief in Him will address resolving our misery.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the blessing of knowing that You are concerned about me and my welfare in living this life and through my prayers can receive Your help to resolve any misery.
