The scripture for today is Psalm 48 verse 1, (KJV).
"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness."
The writer of this Psalm starts out his writing with a praise. Fact is, the whole Psalm is about the greatness of God. This writer also shows us our purpose in life. It is to praise God. Simple, right? He also tells us that the city belongs to God. He tells us that the mountains are owned by God.
Face it, God owns everything. God created everything. Including us. There are many things in our lives that are not explainable. Give it up to God for providing what we need. Never excessively, but exactly what He deems for us. Even those who are seen as successful are to be humble before and worship God.
God is to be worshiped constantly. Whether in the city, in the mountains, in the wilderness, God is there and expects worship. So, change the area of size and make it personal. Each of us has peaks and valleys in our lives. Each of us has a city (family & friends) around us. In all things, praise God greatly! Great IS the Lord!
Dear God, We praise Your name and we truly appreciate all You have given us. Thank you for all the blessings you bestow upon us.
Prayer Concern: Those who are stuck on the peaks or valleys of this life.
