The reading for today is Luke 12:27.
Consider the lilies, how they grow; they do not toil nor even spin thread; but I tell you, Not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these.
Kind of makes you wonder what Solomon looked like, doesn’t it?
As I’m writing this, it is spring – sort of. We tend to get lots of false starts in Missouri. Still, the wildlife is all out running around and flowers are beginning to bloom. I love this time of year. Everything is so beautiful and I have to remind myself that this is fallen creation. What God originally provided must have been astounding.
Whether Solomon’s glory was because of his wise counsel or his robe and crown, all were provided by God. Whatever you happen to find beautiful or perceive as glory – what God has planned for us is so much more!
Father, thank You for all you provide. Amen.
