January 15, 2020 Daily Devotion

The scripture reading for today is Isaiah 51: 7 -8 New International Version (NIV).

Everlasting Salvation for Zion

7 “Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults. 8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations.”

Isaiah was quoted throughout the Bible more then any other profit because he doesn’t mince words. He is straightforward in his message and that message is as relevant today as it was during Isiah’s lifetime (740 BC to 681BC).

If we believe and understand God’s love for us individually and collectively these two verses tell us, we don’t need mortal recognition of our love for God and our belief in our salvation and eternal life with him in heaven.

Everyday gives us a chance to recognize the gift of life we have been given. As believers in Christ we are assured of being able to spend eternity with God. What other recognition do we need?

Let us pray: Heavenly Father thank-you for our lives here on earth and forever with you. Amen.
