Today's scripture is Psalm 25:1-5.

Of David.

1 To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

2 O my God, in you I trust;

do not let me be put to shame;

do not let my enemies exult over me.

3 Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame;

let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

4 Make me to know your ways, O Lord;

teach me your paths.

5 Lead me in your truth, and teach me,

for you are the God of my salvation;

for you I wait all day long.

How we pray and what we pray may not have changed over the years ... maybe. I know that’s how I pray and what I pray for has changed as I get older. I think that may be true for most of us. Now the challenge is, what do we change? My feeling is that we change everything. God wants to hear from us and talk to us more. That's what David is saying in this Psalm.

Make time for change today. Pray more often and say more to God.

Heavenly Father, thank you for these words from David. Move us to pray to You more and make me to know your ways. Let me be your servant and work with my brothers and sisters to be children of God.
