The reading for today is Psalm 50: 3-6, KJV.
"Our God shall come and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Se'lah."
According to the writer, God makes a lot of noise! God created all things. God has the final word in everything. Think about that. God judges everything.
God also calls each of us into his service. He does this often. He also makes noise in each of our lives. Again, God is in control.
By saying God is in control is to acknowledge where true power comes from. It also dispels anything that man does on this earth. When our new pastor was installed, the bishop presiding had this message as to who is in control. God also calls those who are his own.
Pray for God's mercy. Pray for others who do not know God. Pray for wisdom from God. Pray to be humble before the Lord.
