The reading for today is Psalm 148, KJV.
"Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels; praise him ye, all his hosts. Praise ye him, sun and moon, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the Lord; for he commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever; he hath made a decree which shall not pass. Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire and hail; snow and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word: Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl; Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children; Let them praise the name of the Lord; for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exhalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord."
A wonderful psalm of praise. The writer is unknown. That really does not matter. I do find some things interesting written in this psalm.
Here it is written that all things are to praise the Lord. Even the "waters above the heavens". Wait!? Are we talking about rain? Or even higher that those clouds we see? How high up is heaven? Also, it is said that the "heavens of heavens" are to praise him! Seriously, how many heavens are there??
The psalm also mentions dragons. Also "all deeps". What are these? Also, do they still exist? We are told that stormy wind fulfills his word. How stormy is this wind and when does it come? How are we to be prepared? For a psalm of praise, I have a lot of questions. Do each of you who reads God's word?
The one thing that I do get out of this psalm is that God is in control of all things. So, do have all living things praise his holy name! Simple but complex. Just like faith.

Pray for our questions to be answered. Pray for all to praise the Lord! Amen!
