August 30, 2019 Daily Devotion

The scripture for today is 1 Peter 4:10 (KJV).

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

We have received the gift of eternal life. We have received the gift of grace. In the Old Testament it talks about buying with no cost. I am not always a good steward. I think about food I’ve wasted and thrown away while so many are hungry. I think about all the things I should recycle when I just throw it away. That eats up space in our landfills which keep growing. If each of us did one thing a day to make these situations better, think how much impact that would have.

Dear God, Make me a good steward on a daily basis. Help me look for opportunities to serve You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
