The scripture for today is Ecclesiastes 1 verse 7, KJV
"All rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place whence the rivers come, thither they return again."
There is a song by The Byrds called "The Ballad of the Easy Rider" where the first part of this verse is used in the opening of this song. The song talks about going places. This verse talks about truths in life.
"The sea is not full" writes the author. The rivers return again back to where they came from. Think about this. Every time the river flows and water passes by in the current, it never duplicates what had previously happened in the river. Rocks are moved and silt is shifted.
Life is like this. Not every day is the same. Somethings may seem that way, but they really are not the same. God gives us a new day every day. Yet we too return back from where we were first created. We go to be with Jesus.
Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful new day. Help me to think positively and to follow Your way.
