August 26, 2019 Daily Devotion

The scripture reading for today is Psalm 109:21, NIV

"But you, Oh Sovereign Lord, deal well with me for your name's sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me."

God always deal well with us, even better than we deserve. We are sinners, not worthy to step on the same ground as God, the Holy one. But He has given us a free pass through His son Jesus.

And if we call upon His name He comes to our aide. How wonderful He is.

Right now, I am waiting on His mercy. I lost my job in middle May. I was told I was too old. What a smack in the face?? I was doing what the job required just like when I started nine years ago. In fact, it had gotten larger in responsibility. I was taking care of 27 Nuns over the 10 I started with in 2010.

I need to work. I trust that God will not only find me a job, but one that is better than I had. It is hard to wait, but I trust Him because he has taken care of me for over 76 years, even in the womb. He won't quit now.

Lord, help me to be patient and wait upon your and your blessings for me. Amen
