The scripture reading for today is Luke 1:46.
“And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord.”
As I was preparing to write this devotional, I was led to continue reading beginning with verse 47. “And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.”
What really struck me was where it said, “hath done to me great things.” How often I forget the great things done in my life. I forget to be thankful for others like singing, being helpful to neighbors, wonderful and loving family at both home and church. I want my soul to be magnified. I want to remember to say “thank You for blessing me this day.”
Dear God, I thank You for the many blessings I receive each day. Help me to share with others. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
