The scripture for today is Psalm 18:1-19, NIV.
"I love you, O Lord, My strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. in whom I take refuge. He rescued me because he delights in me."
Now in this time of Covid with such confusion, it is really VERY important to be grounded in the Lord. He died for us 2000 years ago and we are free to sin and damnation. There is really nothing to fear. Not Covid-19, not loss of a job, not quarantine, NOTHING.
I work every day except Sat/Sun at a nursing home with 300 residents. They have been separated from their families for over four months. We are trying to open up for residents with less medical problems than the others, and here comes the increase in Covid positive tests. What now????
Relax Fran, I have it ALL under my control. Satan is trying, but I won the battle with my death on the cross, so don't you worry. Nothing will harm you, remember I am your Rock and Fortress. I delivered you with my death, which I gladly did. Just trust me, for I am the Lord God Jehovah, and I have Chesed on you.
Chesed is a Jewish term that means the biggest type of Grace and Mercy you could ever Imagine. When we call on His Name, it is there for us. He loves us so much.
Lord help us to remember your sacrifice for us. Help us to remember that once we proclaim you as our Savior you pour out Chesed on us. Thank you for your love for us. Help us remember that you have won the battle, and You Are Lord, now and forever, no matter what befalls. Amen
