The scripture for today is Psalm 134, KJV.

"Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion."

Three verses. Simple. Looking as it stands, this Psalm shows us how to worship the Lord. I had a friend of mine years ago ask me why Lutherans don't raise their hands during worship. I said I did not know why. He used this Psalm as a reference to show we should raise up our hands to the Lord. No argument.

The last verse is unique. It makes a statement. It tells us which Lord to worship. "The Lord THAT made heaven and earth" is the one to worship. No doubt. Never settle for second best. And, we BLESS the Lord as he does with us. Let that sink into our simple minds. As we bless God, he does so with us as well.
