The scripture for today is Revelation 12:10.

“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.”

As I read this, I can see Pastor Roy parading down the aisles of the sanctuary lifting his silent H’s up in the air. “He is risen, He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!” The victory is won! Satan no longer holds any power of us, for Jesus has freed us from our sins!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop Satan from trying every day to sneak back into our lives. We are constantly faced with temptations. We may even lose our way for a while. We may feel defeated and alone, but God has already won this battle. He has declared victory over death and wiped our sins away!

The accuser has been hurled down. When you hear your adversary say to you that you are a terrible sinner, answer him and say “You are right, I am. But I have a Savior greater than my sin, and you, and He has given me salvation. I am delivered! I am safe from your accusations forever.” This is indeed a day of rescue, a day of joy, a day of power, a new day, a beginning day, a day of life and light!

Lord, thank you for your endless grace. Thank you for being there to fight off our demons, even when we have lost our way! Look over us today and help us to declare your victory throughout the world. Amen
