The reading for today is Psalm 4:6-8
“Many, Lord, are asking, ‘who will bring us prosperity?’ Let the light of your face shine on us. Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
This scripture reminds me of ships being drawn into safe harbor by a lighthouse searchlight. Like those boats, in storms and darkness we can also be guided to His provision and plan. No matter how we have become lost or where or at what stage of life we have reached, we can always look toward that light to be drawn to safety and hope.
I think we also need to be vigilant not to get pulled off course by vain distractions or useless things which can eclipse the light of His leadership in our lives.
Each one of us is being called through the storm to Him.
Prayer Concern: For those feeling hopeless due to illnesses. Prayers that pain would ease and hope in the journey would be found.
