Dear disciples of our Living Lord,
Throughout history, the church has faced numerous plagues and epidemics. These are times to draw closer to God and to be the church together!
After recent recommendations from church and government officials to limit social gatherings, we are canceling all in-person worship services plus meals, classes and events at Living Lord that typically involve groups of ten or more. The building will remain open and the staff, council and many volunteers will continue their work. The office and pastors will try to stay abreast of current developments to keep you informed regularly for the duration of this outbreak until we can resume our normal schedule.
Yet in the meanwhile, not even the coronavirus will keep us from worshipping a merciful and gracious God! Video recordings of sermons and communion consecration are now posted on our Living Lord YouTube channel (youtube.com/channel/UCAREvdtgS7QJdSITQ4Fng0A) and on our Living Lord Facebook page (facebook.com/Living-Lord-Lutheran-Church-337157206317031/), so that you may hear God’s Word from Scripture and at the Last Supper.
+ For the duration of this national emergency, you may take part in
Holy Communion at home with your own bread (or cracker) and
wine (or grape juice).
+ You may want to invite friends or family for a small group “house
+ And please remember that audio recordings of sermons continue to be available at www.livinglord.org.
So please tune in to stay connected with your Living Lord church family! Listen online to Pastor Lanny’s recent sermons and to hear his message from the midweek Lenten service this Wednesday, March 18, and then the sermon from Pr. David Whetter, bishop’s associate, this weekend, March 21/22.
